Scope of Works

Wrightington Hospital, recently completed for Vinci Construction/IHP, is a new build project comprising of approx. 3,700 m² of Kingspan SFS, 6,500 m² of British Gypsum Robust partitioning, 3,000 m² linings and 4,500 m² of suspended ceilings comprising of Armstrong Bioguard, Plain and Dune Supreme tegular tiles 600 x 600 mm and MicroLook Dune 1200 x 600 mm curved bulkheads, MF ceilings and Quattro feature boards completed the ceiling package.

The building is two storey with a Plant Room and comprises of 4/6 bed Wards, Nurse Call Stations, Treatment Rooms and state of the art Operating Theatres, the main blocks are linked by curved corridors.  An X-Ray Room featured on the first floor and is built from lead lined plasterboard walls to the Hospital’s specific requirements.

Working closely with the site team the project was handed over one month early, finished to a very high standard and achieved a “snag free” completion.  The health and safety standards maintained on site were recognized by Vinci/IHP and the Client who regularly scored Sound Interiors as ‘excellent’.  Both Vinci and the Hospital Trust also highlighted the collaboration between us and the M & E contractor as a major factor in achieving the very high standards of safety on site.
